Delivery options
Reverse Marketplace supports shipped orders and local meetup deals.
Buyers and sellers choose delivery details as part of the offer process. Shipped orders use checkout and tracking. Meetups are coordinated with a date, time, and location.
Shipping flow
- The offer must say that the item will be shipped.
- The buyer reviews the order summary and enters their shipping address.
- The buyer pays through Stripe checkout for shipped orders.
- The seller provides carrier and tracking information after payment.
- The buyer can see tracking details inside Reverse Marketplace.
- The transaction is complete after delivery, subject to any eligible return or report.
Shipping failure rules
| Issue | What happens |
|---|---|
| Seller does not ship | The seller must ship and enter carrier/tracking details within 48 hours after payment. If they do not, the buyer may report the transaction and request cancellation or refund review where Stripe payment records support it. |
| Tracking never updates | If tracking does not show carrier acceptance or movement after a reasonable carrier processing period, the buyer can report the issue for review. |
| Fake or wrong tracking | Fake, intentionally wrong, or misleading tracking may result in a strike, cancellation, refund review, account restriction, or ban. |
| Item arrives damaged or wrong | The buyer should report the issue from the transaction page and include photos, packaging photos, tracking screenshots, and message context when available. |
| Marked delivered but not received | The buyer should check the address, carrier details, nearby delivery areas, and then report the transaction. Reverse Marketplace may review tracking, shipping address, messages, and carrier information. |
Meetup flow
- The buyer and seller agree on meetup delivery in the offer details.
- The offer includes a date, time, and location.
- Payment for meetups is handled in person, usually with cash.
- The buyer should inspect the item before paying cash.
- Both sides should arrive on time and use messages to coordinate changes.
Meetup safety guidance
- Choose a public, well-lit location when possible.
- Inspect the item before paying cash.
- Do not send deposits or move to off-platform payment because a stranger asks.
- Do not share unnecessary personal information.
- If a user pressures you to change to an unsafe location, delivery method, or payment method, do not continue and report the issue.
Why delivery details matter
Clear delivery terms reduce confusion. Reverse Marketplace keeps delivery method, price, seller information, buyer information, messages, and transaction details organized so both sides know what they agreed to.
